200 Words is operated by Q2 LLC. In this policy, "we" means Q2 LLC.

The short version. We collect the one address you give us so we can send you one devotional a week. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own use. You can leave at any time and we stop.

What we collect

When you sign up we store your email address or mobile number, the date and time you signed up, the wording of the consent you agreed to, your IP address, and your browser's user agent string. The last three exist so we can prove the signup was real if a mail provider or a mobile carrier ever asks.

We record whether each weekly message was delivered, and for email whether it was opened. We do not track which links you click.

Who we share it with

Only the services that carry the message. Email goes out through SendGrid. Text and WhatsApp messages go out through Twilio. Both are processors acting on our instructions. Nobody else receives your address, and we never sell it.

We will disclose information if a law requires it.

How long we keep it

While you are subscribed, and after you unsubscribe we keep the record of your unsubscribe so we do not accidentally message you again. Ask us to delete everything and we will, aside from a suppression entry holding nothing but a one-way hash.

Leaving

Every email has a one-tap unsubscribe link. Every text accepts STOP as a reply. Either one takes effect immediately.

Children

This is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
